DISTRICT GOVERNOR (2007- 2008). District 4150 has taken the initiative of supporting `` Rotary Declaration for World Peace´´ , which has already been signed by a great number of enthusiastic Rotarians from different parts of the world since October 2006, including Wilf Wilkinson, R.I. President Elected at that time, with the purpose to promote the accomplishment of our Fourth Objective. Therefore, and considering that the world needs peace through the strengthening of the United Nations, which were originated with the strong support of Rotary International in 1945, we invite you to sign this Declaration that may be downloaded from the Website: With our traditional Rotarian goodwill, we ask you to send this Declaration to the Presidents of the Rotary Clubs of your District, so that they make their Clubs aware and obtain the signatures of the members. This declaration has the support of the Permanent Representatives of Rotary International at the United Nations. It is a personal commitment and it is only directed to members of Rotary, with the purpose of creating consciousness about the necessity of strengthening our support to the U.N to help resolve the serious problems of the new century regarding human rights, world environment, poverty, health, education and everything related to world peace. All signatures obtained shall be delivered to our R.I.
