Casa Grande saw an influx of young men and women from Brazil, Peru, France, Germany, New Zealand, Spain and Belgium this weekend and no, it was not the site of one of the Olympic venues--it was in fact the Orientation and Welcome to District 5500's new Youth Exchange Kids! The students have been arriving into the District for the past two weeks, and this was their first opportunity to meet each other, introduce themselves to their new Rotary District, learn the "rules of the road" of being an Exchange Student here, and just have a good time with their host families, Club Counselors, Youth Exchange Officers, and Committee Members. The Youth Exchange Committee, chaired by PDG Jim Aslin, did an excellent job in steering the nine through a myriad of paperwork, do's and don'ts, can do and cannot dos, etc. Please take the time to meet these new Ambassadors and greet them with a "Welcome to Southern Arizona, we are glad you are here"!!
