2020-21 District Governor Installed

 
In its first-ever virtual installation, Diane Ventura-Goodyear of the Rotary Club of Old Pueblo became governor of District 5500. Julianne Repenhagen of the Rotary Club of Green Valley administered the oath of office. Some 85 district Rotarians attended via zoom and offered a toast to the new governor. She also installed the assistant governors.Diane, Old Pueblo Rotary club, is a Past-president 2014-15 During her Presidency, she presided over the merger of two of the oldest Tucson Rotary Clubs; Old Pueblo and Saguaro and the club earned a Presidential Citation that year. Originally inducted into Saguaro Rotary Club of Tucson in 2008, she is an active member of her club, serving on the board for over 5 years working on the annual Poker Tournament, maintaining the club website, PI committee, membership committee, and International Chair.
 
At the District level, Diane built the first District ClubRunner website and served as the Webmaster for 2 years; was an Assistant Governor for Region 9 for 2 years, nominated as a District 5500 Emerging Leader. Diane produced the District 5500 Newsletter for 2 years, was the PI Chair for 2017-19, and was the ClubRunner Consultant for the District. She assisted the District Secretary in automating the club’s attendance reporting within ClubRunner. Diane was an instructor at PETS 2016-17 and Assembly 2016-19. She is both an RLI and RLA graduate. In 2017, Diane traveled to Uganda as part of a VTT team focused on “Empowering Women”. Diane also serves on the TRVFA (The Rotary Vocational Fund of AZ) Board and is an active member in the Ride to End Polio Committee. 
In her professional life, Diane is the owner and operator of The ComputerNanny business for over 20 years.  She is committed to assisting computer clients of all ages.
Diane has taught Computer Science at Pima CC for 12 years. She is also a Yoga Instructor with a focus on health and well-being for all ages and enjoys computer-generated machine embroidery. Originally from Geneva NY, Diane has a Business Management degree from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with an MBA in Technology Management. She and her husband Gordon of 34 years have 2 children in their 20 ’s and have loved living in the South West for over 25 years.
