Membership is everyone’s job, but there needs to be someone in each club coordinating the club’s activities and someone at the District leading the actions to educate and help clubs improve their membership activities. The District needs someone to take the District Membership role starting in the 2024-25 year. It is typically a three-year assignment.
The general activities of the DMC are to identify, implement and promote membership strategies that will result in increased membership within the clubs. Though there are numerous training materials already developed at both Rotary International and Zone 26/27, you are free to approach the job in the way that you think would be most effective in the District. You will work closely with the District Governor and the membership chairs of each club. Traveling to the clubs and working directly with those that request help is typical.
