The Rotary Foundation achieved several milestones during the 2022-23 Rotary year. For example, we awarded 1,098 global grants and announced the third Programs of Scale grant awardee, United to End Cervical Cancer in Egypt. We also selected a new Rotary Peace Center site at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul.
Though stopping the poliovirus has never been an easy task, the historically low number of cases means we can celebrate how far we have come toward eradication. Thank you for your advocacy and for helping us ensure we can grant $50 million from the PolioPlus Fund, which the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is matching 2-to-1.
