Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh, President of the Rotary Club of Bethlehem, Palestine, and Founder/Director of the Palestinian Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability at Bethlehem University, is visiting Southern Arizona this month. Prof. Qumsiyeh is being hosted by Tucson Verde and Sierra Vista Rotary clubs for two presentations. This is a rare opportunity for Tucson and southeastern regional club members to learn firsthand about the struggle of Palestinians and Israelis to arrive at a status of peaceful co-existence in the Holy Land, and to sponsor Global or District grants to aid Palestinian refugees and environmental projects in the Holy Land. WHEN: Tucson: Tuesday, August 29, 5:30 pm at the Ward 3 meeting hall, 1510 E. Grant Rd. Sierra Vista: Wednesday, August 30, 10:30 am at St Andrews' Kino Hall, 800 North Taylor Ave. To RSVP and learn more about Professor Qumsiyeh, click on the link. . |
