David Ambroz, JD
Our Friday luncheon keynote speaker is David Ambroz, a national poverty and child welfare expert and advocate. Thirty years ago, David was a homeless, malnourished child being removed from his mentally ill mother’s custody after years of neglect and abuse. David not only survived the streets, but he graduated from Vassar College and earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the UCLA School of Law. He was recognized by President Obama as an American Champion of Change and is currently serving as the Head of Community Engagement (West) for Amazon.
David previously led Corporate Social Responsibility for Walt Disney Television, and has served as president of the Los Angeles City Planning Commission, as well as a California Child Welfare Council member. David is also a foster parent.

A world class leader, speaker and author of A Place Called Home: A Memoir, David will help us understand what Rotarians can do to deal with the crisis in homelessness and foster care in our nation.
