PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS

Rotary is for Everyone! You Belong Here!

Rotary International is a global network of community volunteers with members, known as Rotarians, who work together to create positive change in their communities and around the world.

Rotary District 5500 (D5500) is made up of more than 50 Rotary Clubs in Southern Arizona, where our members put service above self. Our 1,500 members are leading and partnering on projects that create lasting local and global community change. Our D5500 members come to Rotary to serve. They stay for the friendships and relationships they build.

Council on Legislation 2025

By

From Rotary News:

"The Council on Legislation is where Rotary members meet every three years to discuss and vote on proposals to move the organisation forward. Representatives from Rotary districts around the world gathered for the 2025 Council on Legislation (COL) held April 13–17 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, voting after much debate to approve a dues increase, and also deciding to allow clubs to be chartered with fewer members.

Team India with RIDs Raju Subramanian and Anirudha Roychowdhury, and RIDEs M Muruganandam and K P Nagesh.

By far the most-debated issues in this session were the dues increase, designed to keep up with rising costs, and a proposal to make annual district conferences optional.

Dedicate a Rose as a tribute to the Fallen.

May its petals carry the memory of your courage,
Its thorns remind us of the cost of our liberty,
And its bloom symbolize the honor you so deeply earned.

You are not forgotten.
