Rotary Trip August 2024 

WHAT: Trip to Chicago to Rotary International Headquarters, Evanston,Ill. 

BIG PICTURE: Visit RI Headquarters in Evanston, receive updates from RI staff, tour Paul Harris Home, and attend a meeting with a Chicago area Rotary Club 

WHEN: Monday, August 26 – Thursday, August 29 

TRAVEL: On your own from Arizona to Chicago and return. Transportation in/around Chicago area: 

O’Hare Airport- Uber, Lyft, Taxi (carpool to hotel 16 miles or 30-45 minutes) 

LODGING/MEALS: 

Hilton Garden Inn, Chicago North Shore/Evanston Aug 26 – Wednesday Aug 28. Cost: about $150-160/night. You can arrive earlier or stay longer as desired.

7:00 AM – Hotel Shuttle to RI Headquarters to attend 7:30 AM club meeting with RC of Evanston Lighthouse 

9:00 AM – Tour and Meeting with individual RI staff (specific areas identified beforehand) 

12:00PM – Lunch TBD

Overnight at Hilton Garden Inn, Chicago North Shore/Evanston 

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 28 (PAUL HARRIS HOME AND MEETING WITH LOCAL ROTARY CLUB)

Inside Chicago Walking Tours are lots of fun (magnificent lobbies and interior spaces) 

Art Institute (best Impressionist paintings in the US)
Millennium Park (especially the water area with the huge real-life faces) Field Museum of Natural History
